I would first of all like to thank Mr Sandeep Datir for performing my hip replacement operation with skill and dexterity. As a patient with hearing difficulties and with all this taking place under Covid restrictions he carefully explained all the procedures and risks involved with the operation as well as all the aftercare. Also many thanks to the anesthetists and nurses involved in both the operation and recovery.The physiotherapists always had smiles on their faces whilst performing a rather difficult task. Seven weeks on from discharge it is wonderful to be walking about being pain free and not hobbling around with the aid of a walking stick. The whole experience with all the staff at the Spire Hospital was that they were professional people with a really caring attitude. This was evident through my whole stay. Staring with the pre op meeting to my discharge.

Mr. Datir is a fantastic and caring surgeon who after two years of terrible pain in my knee has changed my life with a complete knee replacement. His expertise and knowledge has been second to none and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who has a problem with knees. Michael Cook p.s his stitching skills are amazing!

After quite a few years of pain and suffering and lots of appointments with different orthopaedic surgeons to explore all possible hip surgery solutions. My own research across the world led me to a specific type of procedure. It transpired that Mr Datir was trained, had the requisite skills / abilities and was very capable. He's a great listener and an equally brilliant communicator. On 22nd October 2021 after a long wait and being told on the day it was 50-50 due to the very poor state of my hip joint. He managed to successfully pull off the procedure and I was out of the hospital in two days. Six weeks later the recovery process is currently going very well. Mr Datir is an amazing specialist.

I had both my knee done my Mr Datir he answered all by questions told me the ins and out of my operation and how it is just as important to do the exercise afterwards i cane now walk with my knee straight and not bent i am so please with my operations i would recommend it to people in pain
